About
Hi! I am a journalism student at the Moody College of Communication at the University of Texas at Austin, graduating in spring 2025. I am looking for roles as an MMJ/Reporter, with opportunities to Anchor and Produce.
I’ve interned at KXAN-TV, WBOC-TV, and serve as the Executive Producer for Good Morning Longhorns, UT’s morning show.
News and storytelling has been the thread of my entire life. From watching marathon evening newscasts after school on my hometown station, WJZ-TV in Baltimore (where Oprah Winfrey got her start!), reading TVNewser ever since I can remember, to performing on some of Charm City’s biggest stages and being the kid to break the news when school was closed for snow, I’ve always had a passion for informing and connecting with audiences.
I love long-form storytelling and breaking news, from Congress to country music. I hope to one day join the ranks of incredible storytellers like Cynthia McFadden and Anthony Mason.
Since arriving to Austin to study at UT, I have had incredible opportunities to tell a wide-range of stories, from headline-making policy at the Capitol to the best and brightest in the rich music scene. I currently serve as executive producer and an anchor/reporter for our live morning newscast, Good Morning Longhorns, as well as Editor-in-Chief for Moody Magazine, Moody College’s official insider publication. From CMT red carpets to early morning breaking news, there is no shortage of stories to tell! My experience also spans the digital marketing and radio space, as I contribute weekly newsletters to KMFA 89.5.
I also have served as a senior life and arts reporter and desk editor at The Daily Texan, writing multiple weekly print and online articles and establishing deep connections with changemakers around Austin. As an avid folk and rock music fan, I am grateful to have ended up in the Live Music Capital of the World.
Before arriving to Austin, I started on my path to achieving my journalistic dreams at OceanCity.com, a tourism news platform. While in Ocean City, primarily covering the impact of the pandemic, I had the chance to speak with everyone from then-First Lady Yumi Hogan to local government officials and local business owners on the front lines. I also launched “This Week in Ocean City,” a hyper-local digital newscast which brought new stories and perspectives to audiences far and wide.
I look forward to exploring new opportunities across journalism and media, especially within broadcast television, and cannot wait to see what the future holds.
